Told She’d Never Walk, Now She Runs to Raise Money for Charity
The subject of this post is twofold:
- A story of overcoming severe disability by a young girl in a faith-full family
- Operation Christmas Child an annual Samaritan’s Purse project to deliver shoe boxes full of gifts and children’s evangelistic materials to poor children all over the world.
These are connected as you will see in the video below produced and shown on Samaritan’s Purse TV (SPTV).
Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Samaritan’s Purse is led my Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, world famous evangelist and founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
The most significant difference in these two Graham family organizations is that Samaritan’s Purse places an additional emphasis on meeting physical needs among the neediest of the world’s peoples and in disaster situations.
