The Great Barrier Reef in HD Video by National Geographic
My wife, Lynn, and I agreed on a “Bucket List” several years ago. The list had four items.
- Tour Alaska
- Tour the Holy Land, Israel
- Take a Photo Safari to the Serengeti Plains in Africa
- Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef off Australia while touring Australia and New Zealand
We have now completed the first three items but we’re having second thoughts about the last item.
Our interest in the underwater part has waned as we have added over a decade to our ages since compiling the list.
Plus, with the increasing popularity of River Cruises in Europe and my interest in great Castles and Cathedrals of the World, we are now thinking of a cruise and possible side trip or two at each end of the cruise departure and arrival points.
So I have begun to replace the face-to-fish/coral concept with videos and photographs.
Here is a beautiful and informative 4 minute HD video of the Great Barrier Reef by National Geographic. The video will start by itself (a bit slowly) and when it finishes it will offer you some more of their videos.
Please don’t let me talk you out of a face to fish/coral visit to the Reef and to Australia and New Zealand. Lynn and I may yet go there.
Here is a taste of the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy.
By the way, has anyone explored the Reef face to fish/coral? Tell us about it!
