Mean Girls Homecoming Prank BACKFIRES!

Texas Homecoming Queen and Friends

Mean Girls Prank Plan was Very Mean

The prank was telling a somewhat plain looking Texas high school senior girl that she was nominated to be on he ballot for homecoming queen when she was not. It was a very cruel prank.

There is a general feeling, especially in the news we see and hear every day, that our young people are becoming more and more self absorbed, less caring, more violent, less respectful of each other and of authority in just about all forms.

This picture has a significant basis in fact.

However, it is far too broad a brush with which to paint the whole upcoming generation.

I look at “MY World” from a positive perspective and I rejoice every time I see acts of kindness, caring, helpfulness, and respect.

Sometimes I am privileged to see these things in person in my community and my church.

But I’m always on the lookout to find positive stories in shareable form.

Here is one of those stories.

Listen carefully to what the two friends have to say about the intended victim of the cruel prank.

But this particular girl, Lillian, was fortunate to have these extraordinary friends.

I believe the majority – vast majority of our youth are like these two friends.

Unfortunately, the majority is often the “silent majority” as we have seen in many other contexts.

We are afraid to get involved, to take even small risks to do what is in our power to prevent or overcome bad things we see and hear around us.

See how “normal” the two friends appear while at the same time they are acting extraordinarily.

If they can do it, we can, too.

Don’t you think so?

Spread the good word about every act of caring and kindness you know about.

Now see what I’m talking about in the video.

How many Lillians do you know, personally, that need some kind of compassionate assistance?

How many compassionate, caring young people like Anahi and Naomi do you know who will benefit by your support and encouragement?

And, by the way, I’m talking to myself here.

Do you have any stories like this one that can encourage all of us to become involved and not continue as part of a “silent majority”?

Please share them in a Comment below.

Its easy.

Etc.
