Atheists Won’t Stop Carrie Underwood from Singing About Faith: “If You Don’t Like It, Change the Channel”!

I am thankful that Carrie Underwood is willing to stand up for what she believes in. We all should be proud of her.
It is too common for a tiny minority of loud and often angry or even violent voices to deny good people like Carrie or you or me our right to have a faith at all.
The same put down or “shut up and sit down” mentality seems to be taking over the center stage of civil discourse on many political, economic, racial and ethnic questions or opinions.
The true radicals in our society are not the ones who simply hold an opinion – even a minority dissenting one – they are the normal ones. Its the ones who deny by threat or coercion or outright violence all others the right to express an opinion that disagrees with them. They are the ones who are the radicals – and a growing source of danger to our freedom and democracy.
I say its time for Christians to…
“Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross
Lift high the royal banner, it must not suffer loss”.
