Erica Wilson, Starting Again – Win From Within by Gatorade
Gatorade has started (I think) a series of inspirational athletic video stories called Win From Within. So far, there are five stories/videos and I don’t know if there will be more. But since they are so good, I’ll keep an eye out for them.
This video, Erica Wilson, Starting Again, is both tragic and joyful and that’s what makes it so inspirational.
Here is the YouTube description:

Erica Wilson, Starting Again | Gatorade – Win From Within
Erica Wilson was a typical, happy 12-year old. Until in one moment her life was forever changed by a genetic disease. But instead of feeling sorry for herself, she found a new sport. And with it, a new purpose.
Take a look at what she’s doing now.
As Erica’s Mom said at the beginning, it is incomprehensible how an active 12 year old can be fine one day and then unable to walk for the rest of her life the next day.
And it is nearly incomprehensible to see how Erica has started all over again not just to be a survivor but to be a champion.
And it wasn’t easy. She had to learn how to shoot baskets and she had to learn how to maneuver the wheelchair in game conditions.
Hats off to you Erica and to the people who gave you the opportunity play wheel chair basketball.
Finally, hats off to Gatorade for presenting these inspirational stories via YouTube.
