Fr. Emil Kapaun – Most Decorated Military Chaplain Ever – Faith Stories You Won’t Forget Series
Do you know the name – Fr. Emil Kapaun?
I didn’t … until this week.
I’m sure that’s the way it is with countless heroes.
And that’s a shame.
I wish I knew the name and the story of every hero worth mentioning.
Don’t you?
Well, that probably isn’t humanly possible but at least you and I can learn the name and the inspiring story of Emil Kapaun, the son of Czech immigrant parents, farmers in rural Kansas.
Its a story that has been simmering on and off the back burner since the end of the Korean War.
The latest chapter in the story was the awarding of the Congressional Medal of Honor to Chaplain, Captain Emil Kapaun, posthumously, in April 13, 2013 by President Barak Obama.
Chris Stefanik, leads a not-for-profit Catholic ministry, Real Life Catholic, whose mission is to engage this generation “to come home to the heart of the Father, and to a rediscovery of their own true hearts in the process.” Chris tells the story very well.
Though this story has a Catholic “flavor”, the message and the actual story transcends Christian denominations.
You can see more details about the life of Fr. Kapaun at the Wikipedia link below.

Etc.
I don’t think you will forget this story! I know I won’t.
