Cruising the Rhine in Style

This post describes a Rhine River cruise and the several castles along the route, as well as other attractions for the tourist’s enjoyment.

Over the past year I have posted several tours of specific castles many narrated by Rick Steves, known worldwide as the a tour guide book author and tour leader, as well as TV travel show host specializing in Europe.

Up ’til now the post feature was a specific castle since the series of posts, taken together, shared the heading Great Castles of the World.

Today’s post differs slightly, by describing a tour of a wider area and of several points of interest along the way.

My wife, Lynn, and I are considering a river tour somewhere in Europe, perhaps next autumn so our research serves two purposes, for us and for you via the blog.

The first video is a 3+ minute condensed highlight version of a longer 26 minute video from the TV Series Rick Steves’ Europe.

If the first video strikes your interest, the second one will give you a much more detailed version.

In my home electronic setup I am able to project YouTube videos from my computer to my large screen TV via an Apple TV device so its almost like a theater presentation.

Either way, I hope you enjoy the Rhine River and its castles and beautiful surrounding landscapes.
