What Would the World be Like Without Moms?
Intro
Here is a cute Mothers Day season video by the Jubilee Project asking a series of people the question “What Would the World be Like Without Moms?”
While the answers have a wide ranging scope of particulars, there is a broad consensus.
The world would be a disaster without Moms!
The Jubilee Project
The Jubilee Project is a fascinating story in itself.
It all started with three well intentioned but not too successful guys’ effort to raise money to help hurricane victims in Haiti in 2010.
They tell their story on their website at http://www.jubileeproject.org.
It starts like this:
Our Mission
Jubilee Project is a 501c3 that exists to tell stories that inspire change. We make short films, PSAs and documentaries in collaboration with non-profits to increase awareness and inspire action. Our vision is to produce entertaining content that will empower, enable, and inspire others to do good as well.
Jubilee Project Guys
Our Story
In the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake in January 2010, Jason and his friends decided to respond by busking in a New York City subway station to raise $100 for Haiti. That day they fell $30 short of their goal, but when they created a video about it and placed it online they ended up raising over $700 for Haiti earthquake relief.Encouraged by the result – Jason, Eddie, and Eric joined together to create Jubilee Project. Our diversity of backgrounds, Jason in business, Eddie in government and Eric in medicine, allows us to bring a variety of experiences to the table, but what unites us is our passion for philanthropy and film-making.
But Jubilee Project is more than just 3 guys and one camera. The work we do goes beyond us and certainly requires all of us together, united, with a common goal of doing good. We believe that #DoingGoodisContagious.
The Video
The World Without My Mom
The world without my Mom would have been deprived of a dedicated and gifted elementary school teacher of 40+ years.
Her birth family would have been deprived of the her being the first college graduate in the family’s history.
Her family of marriage would have been deprived of a loyal wife, homemaker and co-provider and a caring, giving, selfless, loving mother of two sons.
There is so much more to say but I am working some other pieces of content with more family detail.
Etc.
