There is a Growing Number of Aspects of the Public Schools That Conflict with Christian Values and Otherwise Concern Christian Parents

Conflicts With Christian Values

Years ago, sex education became the lightning rod issue when governments began to require the teaching of sexually explicit material in the schools and in grade levels that seemed far too early.

Now the lightning rod issues involve gender identification issues. Pupils are given the right to identify with non-birth gender and be accorded access the locker rooms, athletic teams and events of their declared gender.

Other issues include religious persecution/bullying and mandated curriculum materials that are pro Islam and anti Christian.

Quality and Safety Issues

Academic quality in public schools varies widely across the nation, the state and even across the school district. This may be a major factor to consider an alternative.

Safety is also a growing concern over the years as the culture has become more violence tolerant, resulting in more widely identified bullying issues and increased concern for lack of sufficient discipline being maintained in the classrooms and around the schools.

Drugs have become a much greater concern as access to them has become easier than decades ago

School location and the necessary means of travel between school and home can be a safety issue if walking or riding public transportation are required.

Christian Parenting - Choosing the Best Schooling Option for Your Child

This free course offers a framework for choosing the best option for schooling your child, in view of increasing conflicts in the public school system between governmental and legal requirements and Christian beliefs and values, as well as quality and safety issues.

The course discusses reasons why Christian parents should carefully decide on their priorities in determining where and how their child will be schooled, how to find what options are available in their area, including their pros and cons, and their relative costs.

After examining each aspect of making the best choice, you will have confidence that you have arrived at the best available path to providing your child with the highest quality education that also minimizes and manages controversial issues that conflict with your Christian values.

Huge Benefit 4

Your child will feel better about school if he/she knows that you have invested this effort to provide the best academic and character building Christian values opportunity for her/him.

1

Chapter 1- Number of Pupils By Schooling Type

This first lesson gives an overview of how many U.S. pupils are served by local public schools and several other categories of public and private schools and homeschooling.

2

Chapter 2- Why Choose Anything But the Public School

This lesson discusses why mandates that conflict with Christian values, Quality of Academics, Location, and Safety considerations affect whether another option might be better than the local public school.

3

Chapter 3- Public Schools Pros/Cons

This lesson discusses pros such as "free schooling" paid through property taxation and locations nearly everywhere and cons such as conflicts with Christian values and varying academic quality.

4

Chapter 4: Magnet Schools Pros/Cons

This lesson examines pros/cons of Magnet Schools, which is a subset of the public school system. Magnet schools are free and give extra focus to a "Magnet" area such as Math and Science, or Fine Arts but there aren't many of them and enrollment is often by lottery.
